Stage 4 did not really live up to the potential there was on paper but it gave the team with the most to gain, Bardiani Valvole- CSF Inox, a win through Enrico Battaglin who won the bunch sprint on the wet pave in Serra San Bruno. Not much happened classification wise but it was interesting to see sky suffocate the peloton on the final climb of the day.

Stage 5 is surely one for the sprinters. There is a small rise on the run in but it shouldnt be a problem for the likes of Mark Cavendish and Matthew Goss.

Prediction: Viviani to beat out Cavendish and open  the Cannondale account.
